Blissful Ignorance

Ignorance is bliss
To those who know horror
And wish for that blindness
And those who know
Curse the knowledge
For it is a heavy burden
To be acquainted much like Atlas
Some "unable" to bear
The ones we call insane
Yet they behold their insight
With a vice like grip
Even though they seem unstable
We should be asking them
The unanswerable questions
Yet we shy away from them
With distaste and disdain
Fearing their wisdom
When we should not
Only those who choose not to know
Are the insane ones
The blind ones
To inflict one's self
To not see or hear
The horrid but true tales
The terror of reality
Which we avoid
See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil
To not see is to be blind
To not hear is to be deaf
To not speak is to lie
